On February 21, 2020 Tom Mills and Allen Black officially founded Mills Black LLP; a unique and extremely experienced firm focused on helping their clients navigate and resolve complex regulatory and litigation matters in the maritime and healthcare arenas.

Prior to founding Mills Black LLP, Tom and Allen were senior partners with the international law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP, where they honed their ability to resolve the complicated and intricate issues facing shipping companies and healthcare providers alike. Having both graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy, Tom and Allen bring their collaborative and client-focused approach to a more accessible and flexible platform.

Tom and Allen have established Mills Black LLP’s new office in the historic Theodore Roosevelt House on 19th Street NW in Washington, DC and look forward to continuing their work resolving their clients’ regulatory, transactional, and litigation issues.
